Of course.

I had quite a collection of Transformers which I used to stage battles with Star Wars, G.I. Joe, He-Man and pretty much every other action figures and collectibles I had at the time.

Absolutely HATED the movie. They needed to show more robots and less humans. And they should have killed off that whiney Shia Lebouf character. I CAN'T STAND HIM!!!!
References :
Acrylic paints I've heard work best for the die cast metal ones. For the plastic ones you might just want to go with any standard model paint. As for brushes, you'll probably want to use smaller brushes for the finer detailing and larger brushes for pieces you're doing in solid color.

If you're only painting small details don't forget masking tape. Also let each coat dry separately before applying the next.
References :
Do you want Generation 1 figures? If so, get out your wallet and prepare to lay down a lot of money. You're not going to find G1 figures at a local toy retailer. If you want G1 figures, go to BigBadToyStore.com. It carries a select number of loose figures from G1 to present. ToyWiz.com also carries AFA graded Transformers from various lines. Of course, there's eBay, though I'm loathe to recommend it as a resource. As to why Wal-Mart didn't have any transforming Transformers, I suspect most of the transforming figures inspired by the new movie have sold out. Many people are buying two and even three figures, thinking that they can play with one and sell the other at a markup price. Silly, Rabbit, Trix are for kids!
